Great information and video. The other difference you forgot to mention between the LGT and the GT3s & z06s is the driver!

I have an 05 Outback Sedan 3.0R for that. the perrin bars are adjustable in a sense they have 2-3 different holes to bolt the endlinks to on each end. the farther ones from the sway bar bushing are loose, the closer ones are tighter. the holes are only .5" apart from each other so i dont think they make that big of a difference.

I haven't looked at my sways in a while, but let's say the torque arm (distance from the mounting points/torsional axis of the bar to the endlink) is ~8". If each hole is .5" closer to axis then each hole represents a ~6% increase in stiffness. Maybe 12% is an academic difference only (you would know better than I) but it certainly seems like a decent range.

I figure I'd play around with the bars a little, since they're pretty affordable and very easy to install - so I went big this time (the other reason was because I wanted to also get the Perrin Stout-Mounts for the rear, too). On my 5MT Limited sedan, which is my daily driver, I do agree that it's complete overkill for everyday purposes (it controls body motions nicely, but my street tires are unable to truly make use of the bars - and in all honesty, I don't drive nearly hard enough/aggressively enough to get true use out of the bars, either), and as it makes the suspension somewhat less independent, over our pockmarked roads and with our sometimes rather steep entry aprons, it can be a little difficult to live with, if you're sensitive to that kind of stuff.

More than likely, I'm going to start progressing "downwards," to look for something that would render more suitable "daily" performance.

The car does behave very nicely, though, with both the front and rear 25mms set to the "soft" setting, when driven at normal public-streets pace.

IIRC, the older Perrin rear 25s had three holes - the newer ones have only 2. I honestly don't remember if they ever had a three-hole adjustable front unit.... :?:

they were driven by very experianced drivers. the GT3 in particular was driven by the guy who designs the englishtown courses and is one of the top instructors.
